When Nita Tinsley saw a group of snowmobilers disregarding social distancing rules in Valemount her first call was to RCMP, but to no avail. RCMP said they couldn’t intervene.

Tinsley said the group was not keeping their distance and one of them was coughing.

“I thought that was pretty disrespectful,” she said.

Tinsley shares the same concerns Canadians hear daily from the Prime Minister and health officials.

“We have a lot of seniors, it wouldn’t take long for the virus to spread,” she said.

“I think they should be stopped at the border, and told to go home. Sledding is not necessary.”

Tinsley lives with her mother Emily who just turned 85.
