Qia Gunster and Aaron Seymour were the two McBride young men who celebrated their completion of relevant courses at the Career Technical Centre in Prince George on January 29th. A bus carrying eight community members made the trek to Prince George to see them cross the stage. Secondary School principal Derrick Shaw was at the wheel. Qia graduated in Electrical/Electronics and Aaron in the Industrial Mechanic/Machinist programs. Canfor Pulp presented no less than 19 work experience awards – a significant financial award – to their work experience graduates, all of whom had taken additional certifications in things like workplace safety and first aid, in addition to completing all their specific trade training. Among the recipients was Qia Gunster.
