The sixth turbine for BC Hydro’s Mica generating station recently came through Valemount. It took a similar route to Mica 5’s path early this summer, but was loaded onto the barge at the old mill site at 12 km on the Canoe East Forest Service Road, rather than at the marina. High water levels this time of year did not provide sufficient space on the marina’s ramp for the barge to land.
