I would like to introduce my self, my name is Tina Bennett I have been residing in McBride for approximately 1.5 years now. I have obtained full-time employment and have been actively looking in the McBride area for a house suitable for me, but for now I still retain a house/ mailing address in Mackenzie.
I have successfully raised four children independently and have gained valuable experience in multitasking, problem solving and time management. I am grateful for all the educational and physical activities that were available for my children and believe that every child should have the same opportunities.
I also have a variety of work related experience, but the one that resonates most with my heart is in the health care industry. I obtained a college degree as a Health Care Assistant, and Occupational /Physiotherapy Assistant.
I believe McBride hospital is essential to our community and needs to remain in McBride. Advocating for improved essential services is also critical for our hospital and community to grow and flourish, I feel that I am capable of taking on this task.
The development of “Robson Valley Legacy ” is an excellent step forward in assisting with health care needs and housing requirements which is greatly needed. I look forward to supporting this exciting endeavor and many more.
I was afforded the opportunity last Christmas season to participate in the “Adopt a senior” and had a heart warming experience delivering gifts and visiting with seven of our seniors. I believe these programs are essential and will continue to participate.
Since residing in McBride, I have become aware of areas that require some more attention, namely new housing developments, infrastructure, accessibility and the promotion of McBride to support existing businesses and to also attractnew business opportunities to the area. I will endeavor to do my best to listen to ideas and concerns that are brought forth and to find a viable solution where possible.
This beautiful Valley and the people of McBride have so much to offer! I would like to thank you for your consideration in supporting me for town councillor.
