McBride resident Kristi Corbett performed a one hour solo piano recital
on Sunday afternoon with a piano brought in specially for the occasion. Corbett has been studying music since she was three years old and has recently completed her Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music – Toronto exams in Piano performance and Violin Performance.
She played 6 pieces composed by Bach, Liszt, Schubert, Granados, Chopin and Gounod, and a Radiohead piece arranged by O’Riley all by memory. She performed the same lineup of songs with the exception of Gounod for her examination as well as at a performance in Prince George.
She was a picture of concentration and focus as the music flowed from her fingers. /ANDREA ARNOLD
