Unofficial election results have been released with an extremely tight race between some candidates. Voted in as Mayor for a second term is Gene Runtz. Incumbent councillor Diane Smith will return along with new councillors Peter Caputo, Glen Frear, and Joe Kolida. Incumbent Allan Frederick came in just two votes behind Glen Frear and newcomer Kat Vickery came in just two votes behind Allan Frederick. Chief Election Officer Sandra Salt said as of Monday no one had requested a recount and they were not planning on one at that time. She said several people were present in the room when the votes were counted to ensure the correct tally.
