McBride-area children ages 3-5 have started t-ball for the season. Tuesday evening from 4:30- 5:30pm in the field at the McBride Elementary school kids will have the opportunity to work on baseball skills, activities and fitness. Emil Anderson is sponsoring the league and will be providing t-shirts and a wrap-up party for the group. Organizer Meagan Ryan asks that children are accompanied by an adult who stays on site for the duration of practice. Following the first gathering on May 3, Ryan was thrilled with the interest in the sport. “It was a great turn-out and so great to see so many young families out again, and kids involved in a sport,” she said. “Our little community always shows up and the parents are super eager to jump in and help.” Each week the drills and activities will be changed up to keep the kids engaged and building awareness and skills.
