The earliest sign of spring has sprung in McBride. Willows by Horseshoe Lake have started to show signs of life with the appearance of early pussy willows . Pussy willows will begin to emerge as soon as ground around them begins to thaw. If another cold snap occurs, the growth of green buds can be hindered, but the change in temperature would not harm the plant. /ANDREA ARNOLD
