A small 100 sqm fire cropped up between Tete Jaune and Mt Robson today and is reportedly human-caused.

The fire is the only one burning in the vicinity of the Robson Valley and Blue River, but smoke from fires in the Interior of the Province was drifting north.

Firesmoke.ca forecasts show smoke is expected to drift north into the Blue River and Canoe Reach (Kinbasket Lake) areas from the Kamloops region where several large fires are burning.

An evacuation order was issued for 14 properties near Allie Lake north of Kamloops due to a wildfire that’s grown to 1600 ha in size. Several other properties received evacuation alerts.
