Letter: RCMP silence erodes trust

Re: the Beuhler shooting; I agree with your statement about their being more disclosure on the part of the RCMP in regards to the why’s and wherefores. These excuses of internal investigations put a silencer on the Force. I believe this inability to disclose circumstances, before the incident has long been over, is putting a wedge between the public and our police service. I believe it is putting a strain on their relationship with the people they work for. This only leads to speculation, and accusations. Rumours start to spread about this and that and people start to question the integrity of people we are supposed to rely on and trust! Our own judicial system is destroying a relationship that was once great!
