The annual Old Age Pensioners Organization Christmas luncheon was held on Tues Dec 6. 90 residents were treated to a buffet dinner prepared by members of the Elks and Royal Purple. All the ingredients were donated as was the hall rental and meal preparation, allowing the meal to be offered free of charge for area seniors. At the start of the meal, OAPO president Val Logan announced that the group had received a certificate recognizing their 50 year anniversary as an organization.

“I am so thankful for all those who donated and made it possible for us to offer the dinner free of charge,” said Logan. “I love living here. I can not imagine living elsewhere. We live in an amazing community.”

Flo Mynio was happy to be able to attend the luncheon and enjoyed the socialization provided by the event. \ANDREA ARNOLD
