What if those on your media site suggested getting together an angry mob to do away with someone they hated? Would you allow them that type of speech?
Squelching speech doesn’t have anything in common with a government.
News outlets put limits on “free” speech due to legal reasons and also to conform with the taste of their readers.
One person’s idea of free speech is another person’s idea of hate speech.
There is a certain line concerning language that must not be crossed, or total chaos will follow … which is what occurred January 6th, 2021, when Donald Trump (using hate-filled language against Mike Pence), nearly resulted in Mike being hung… and did result in others being killed by the out-of-control angry mob.
Speech is not always free … nor should it be.
