The McBride Elks and Royal Purple hosted two Halloween dances over the weekend. Friday night, the teens were treated to music and treats, and Saturday evening it was the adults’ turn. In total, approximately 70 people attended the two events. The McBride elementary school also hosted a dance Friday night that was attended by over 80 students and their parents. The McBride District Volunteer Fire Department set off a spectacular fireworks display on Halloween evening, rounding out the weekend full of fun.

Most of the adults who attended the dance on Saturday night wore creatively amazing costumes for this first Halloween dance since before COVID. /ANDREA ARNOLD
Constable Nat Cooke the Tactical Unicorn visited locations around McBride handing out reflective clips that can be attached to children’s bags or costumes allowing them to be more visible. /ANDREA ARNOLD
