Grizzly bears that are fortunate enough to have Chinook salmon spawning rivers and streams in their territory spend most of their foraging hours along these waterways feasting on as many salmon as they can catch or on spawned-out salmon carcasses. Judging by the condition of this giant male grizzly I managed to film at 60 feet, it has fared very well. /LEON LORENZ
