At the Regular Council Meeting of June 9, 2020, Council adopted the Water Supply and Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 822 and associated enforcement. More comprehensive water restrictions aid the Village in conserving water particularly during times of increased demand, decreased supply, or in emergency situations.

The Bylaw outlines 4 stages of water restrictions with stage 4 being the most stringent. The four stages give the Village more flexibility in water conservation as conditions change throughout the year.

‘Stage 1’ is the default and current water restriction in place:
• this stage is activated from June 1 to September 30 of each year;
• watering of lawns is permitted during the hours of 7 am – 10 am and 7 pm – 10 pm only;
• hand watering is permitted at any time on any day.
