When local businessman Lance Ewasiuk stumbled across a fully operational 1953 GMC fire truck while shopping online for a motorbike, he seized the opportunity to realize a boyhood dream. Joe Rich (Rich Boyz) hauled it from Tyee Lake and unloaded it Saturday morning. The truck is currently parked next to the McBride District Volunteer Fire Department Hall. Ewasiuk hopes to use the truck as part of a food truck set up, but will gauge how the economy recovery process goes before moving in that direction. In the meantime, he will participate in parades and any other occasion he can, with the old siren wailing./ANDREA ARNOLD
