On May 31st, 2020 at approximately 12:30 a.m. the Bonnyville RCMP responded to information received from the public regarding a stolen unmarked police vehicle from Prince George, BC that was driving in the Bonnyville area.

Bonnyville RCMP confirmed with RCMP in Prince George, BC that an unmarked police vehicle had been stolen and that it contained various police uniform and equipment (excluding police firearms).

Subsequently, extensive patrols were conducted in the Bonnyville area by RCMP Detachments from Bonnyville, St. Paul, Elk Point and Cold Lake including their

Police Dog Services. At approximately 5:30 a.m. the two suspects and the stolen police vehicle were located just North of Bonnyville. The police uniform and equipment were also later recovered.

33 year-old Kohl Anthony Timms, of McBride, BC has been charged with:
• Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
• Operation while Prohibited
• 7 counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order

A Judicial Interim Release hearing was held, and Timms was held in custody. He was scheduled to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on June 2nd, 2020.

A 33 year old female accomplice also faces a charge of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. She is set to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on September 15, 2020.
