On Dec. 5th, girls basketball coach and long-time volunteer Tim Nusse was awarded the Thérèse Casgrain Lifelong Achievement Award in Ottawa. He was picked from nominees across Canada.

The award is given out annually to a dedicated individual who has volunteered at least 20 years. Nusse’s volunteerism includes both coaching and time on the parent advisory council.

Casgrain, the award’s namesake, was instrumental in getting women the vote in Quebec and fought for better working conditions for people in industry.
