Life of Pie – and other literary endeavours

The Library & Museum joint committee for expansion put on their annual apple pie baking event recently. About 60 people donned their hair nets and aprons to turn out more than 750 apple pies.
Only 30 pies remain. The pies cost $8 or $9 depending on how many you purchased. Martina Wall & Naomi Balla-Boudreau of the library say they have now raised over $100,000 towards a new building on Main St. Their goal is $500,000 to purchase the building. They have already secured land next to the building. The pies brought in roughly $6,000 before expenses.
