Robson Valley RCMP Report: Vehicle fire, theft

On April 13, 2015 police attempted to stop a vehicle for excessive speed. The vehicle fled turning down a side road. The vehicle was later located and had been set fire to. On April 14, 2015 Valemount RCMP received a report of a generator being stolen from a shed. The shed had not been checked in sometime so the exact date of the theft is unknown. Anyone with information can contact police or Crime Stoppers.

On April 14, 2015 Valemount RCMP stopped a vehicle for speed after it was tracked at 147 km/h. The driver, a 21-year-old Saskatchewan man, was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

On April 14, 2015 Valemount RCMP stopped a vehicle for speed and noted an odour of marihuana coming from the vehicle. The occupants were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and their vehicle was searched and a small amount of marihuana was seized. The driver, a 26-year-old Alberta man, was issued a violation ticket. No charges are pending on the marihuana possession.

On April 15, 2015 Valemount RCMP received a request to locate an individual as they had not been heard from. Police located and spoke with the individual and confirmed they were ok.

On April 15, 2015 Valemount RCMP attend 6th Ave after tires has been slashed on a vehicle overnight. A liquor bottle was seized from the scene and is being analyzed for fingerprints. Anyone with info can contact police or Crime Stoppers.

On April 16, 2015 McBride RCMP attended a vehicle fire on Highway 16. No one was injured.

On April 18, 2015 McBride RCMP responded to report of a loud party near the Fraser River. Police attended and the party was no longer in progress and was shutting down. No charges are being pursued at this time.

On April 18, 2015 McBride RCMP stopped a vehicle after it was tracked at 148 km/h. The driver, a 32-year-old Ontario man, was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
