Valemount Gas station and restaurant, Tempo gas
former P&V gas and convenience store has been gutted and is being rebuilt as a Tempo gas station. It will include a coffee bar, convenience store and fast-food restaurant. The site should be ready for business by late spring/early summer.

The Valemount gas station that has sat boarded up for two years is getting a makeover and will open for business by summer.

Tempo Gas will be moving into the former P&V gas and convenience store location by late spring/early summer, contractors say.

The cement floor and new framing echo the sound of drills, hammers and other tools used to completely rebuild the inside of the building. A slate of local contractors have been hired for the project including Dave Larrivee, an electrician from McBride, Steve Smith, handling construction, Adrenaline Services and other individual local contractors.

The station will include a convenience store, coffee bar and a fast-food restaurant. The Karas Mall will be at 100 per cent occupancy when the gas station opens.

It’s not clear when the company will begin hiring employees.
