The sound system at the Robson Valley Community Centre in McBride is scheduled for an upgrade. The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has put out an invitation to tender that will close at the end of September.
“The Regional District and the successful bidder will then identify a schedule for the works to take place,” said Hilary Eramus, Manager of Communications and Culture at the RDFFG.
Much of the system currently in use at the hall has been in place since the facility was built in 2007. Eramus says it relies on outdated technology, and they want to provide a user-friendly system that meets the needs of those renting and using the facility while improving and enhancing AV system functions.
After upgrades are completed, some of the equipment may be repurposed in the neighbouring Recreation Centre.
“The Regional District will inventory the equipment that is removed from the Robson Valley Community Centre and determine if any of the equipment can be repurposed for use at the Robson Valley Recreation Center,” said Eramus.
