Start your engines: Rocky Mountain Speedway season opener

The Mountains of Speed roared to life once more this past weekend as the Rocky Mountain Speedway held its first event of the year. Organizers say well over a thousand people attended the races over the weekend. See more photos and weekend results below. /Spencer Hall
Before races kicked off on Saturday, founders of the Rocky Mountain Speedway, such as Dale Cinnamon pictured above, were called down to the track to sign the concrete barriers, which were painted with their names and numbers. Those honored on Saturday included Sherri Tinsley, Billy Tinsley, and Larry Simpson. Dwight Kennedy was also recognized with a barrier, but was unable to attend the event. / Spencer Hall
