Bohemian waxwings are larger and grayer than Cedar waxwings with striking wing markings. Their winter range varies widely and unpredictably as they feed mainly on small fruit and insects when available. When I filmed these little beauties a couple of weeks ago they were getting the seeds out of spruce tree cones. /LEON LORENZ
