Ten ladies participated in a quilting workshop at the McBride Elks Hall, led by guest Terry Rowland. Each quilter worked on her own raven made from countless pieces of fabric through a process called fabric underlay. Rowland had two completed samples on display as she talked the ladies through the process. /ANDREA ARNOLD
Joan Marchant and Sandie Birnie agreed that the process of creating their ravens was a lot of work as they had to trace and cut each individual piece to fit the pattern exactly before moving on to the next one. Pieces were numbered to try to help eliminate some difficulty. /ANDREA ARNOLD
