Chris Hendrickson uses an excavator to compact the approach to the Valemount Community Forest’s new 27m steel bridge bridge over the Canoe River. It replaces a lightweight aluminum bridge installed by recreationalists to access Crystal Ridge. Valemount Area Recreation and Development manager Curtis Pawliuk said that the new bridge will allow for a full size groomer to maintain better access to the popular snowmobile assisted ski hill.
