On Sunday November 1st, the Valemount RCMP got together with community volunteers for the fourth annual “Firewood for Seniors” event. Volunteers bucked, split, loaded, and delivered firewood. Eleven homes around Valemount received a top-up of their woodshed, helping to keep them warm and cozy for the winter. A very special thanks to Vern Mickelson, Jack Hoy, Vince Clark, Cedar Valley Holdings and Spiral Contracting, the 4 all-star buckers Owen Torgerson, Jason Alexander, Kevin Chalupa, and Kevin Winter; Ray Mikolash, Dylan Yetter, and of course, Sheri Gee and her “army” of community volunteers. /SUBMITED BY JACOB JOSLIN
