McBride Council held a special meeting on March 19th at 6pm to deal with issues arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the agenda was rescheduling a public hearing on Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 786 (Robson Valley Legacies) until June 2 or sooner if new legislation granted local government the ability to hold public hearings without the public physically present (due to concerns about COVID-19). Council postponed Regular Council Meetings as well. Council moved to close the village office to the public effective March 23 until April 24 or until further notice and approved the period of the utility fee discount until May 30. Council then moved in camera to discuss labour relations or other employee relations.
