Literacy Day was celebrated with events and activities in both Valemount and McBride on Saturday, Jan. 30th.
In Valemount, volunteers like Ellen Duncan and Darryl Polyk read to children in the library while downstairs, Corbin Cinnamon won the draw for a Chapters gift card for participating in Giant Chess.
In McBride, a treasure hunt around local businesses was organized, and folks gathered at in leased space on Main Street to play literacy games.
