*2pm update – power has been restored to McBride*
McBride and area residents are sitting in the dark as BC Hydro works to locate the issue causing a power outage.
The outage location is unknown. In case it is within the area that the community generator covers, so they have been unable to provide backup power, and will remain inactive until the issue has been located. The cause remains under investigation.
The BC Hydro map says the outage reaches from Dome Creek to Tete Jaune.
The estimated time frame for Hydro crew arrival is 2:30 p.m.
