Valemount Event
Do you run a business? Do you have questions about supports available to your
business and wish you could ask a real person?

The Valemount Chamber of Commerce and Community Futures of Fraser Fort
George have teamed up for an informative evening with a dozen guest speakers at
the Caribou Grill this week. The in-person event, hosted with COVID protocols,
will offer participants the chance to ask questions and gain knowledge of many
programs, including the Community Futures Business Analyst, LEAP for women
in business, and the Export Navigator Program. There will also be information
from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries and the Chamber of
Commerce.

Included as speakers are Susan Stearns, Jean Rudyk and Mary Mytting from
Community Futures, Allison Boulton and Tim Thomas from the Export Navigator
program, as well as Emma Holmes, an organics industry specialist, and Karen Tabe,
an agrologist for this region, both with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and
Fisheries.

The event will occur Thurs. Oct. 14th from 4-7pm at the Caribou Grill. To RSVP,

McBride Event
October 15th 2-5pm at the Public Library in McBride:
In partnership with the Village of McBride, Community
Futures of Fraser Fort George will host an open house
with coffee and refreshments. Learn more about
business supports and programs.

Dunster Event
A final event takes place at the Dunster Community
Hall Oct. 16th 2-7pm and will focus primarily on
agriculture. Join Community Futures Fraser Fort George
to learn about the many programs to support small farms.
Speakers will cover topics like water and soil testing, the
organics industry, exports, land matching, and the LEAP
program for women in business and farming. The event,
the Robson Valley Food for Thought Farm Extension
Day, takes place at the Dunster Community Hall, and
