Hwy 16 re-opens after collision in Mount Robson Provincial Park

A portion of Highway 16 closed in both directions Tuesday following a collision between a semi-truck and car near Moose Lake this afternoon. The closure is between Fountain Pullouts and Moose Lake Overhead Bridge.
Valemount RCMP were called to the scene at 12:56 p.m. PDT, according to Media Relations Officer Madonna Saunderson. She was unable to provide further details at press time.
Additionally, Alberta RCMP responded to a call about the collision at 2:33 p.m. MDT. A third party reported the collision to a Parks Canada employee stationed at the West Gate, according to Alberta RCMP media relations.
The road re-opened to single-lane alternating traffic later in the afternoon.
