Valemount’s 2nd annual Winter Festival eclipsed the first year with $2,000 raised for the Valemount Elementary School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) towards a new playground, $1900 raised for the grad class, $450 for minor hockey and $300 for Meals on Wheels. The PAC money will go towards a new climbing wall they hope to install this spring, says PAC member Sam Travers. The wall is for intermediate students Gr 4-7. More playground items will be added as money is fundraised.
