The Robson Valley Region held a premiere for a series of short videos that promote moving to the Canoe and Robson Valleys. The videos were produced by Prince George-based Pop Media.

About 20 people were at the event including McBride Mayor Gene Runtz, Valemount Mayor Owen Torgerson and Regional District Representative Dannielle Alan.

The videos featured a number of small business owners that talked about the virtue of living in the valley.

Renee McCloskey, Manager of External Relations for the Regional District of Fraser Fort George manages the Robson Valley Region program.

She implored the attendees to share the videos widely on social media.

“I know that there are so many other incredible stories,” said McCloskey. “I’d love to connect with anybody who wants to share their stories and maybe in print format or video format.”

“You may have noticed that winter doesn’t exist in these videos,” said Renee McCloskey, Manager of External Relations for the Regional District of Fraser Fort George.

“That’s something we acknowledge so we are working with [Pop Media] to highlight the beauty that is in this area during the winter,” said McCloskey.
