The JB Lakers from Buck Lake took first and Plan B from McBride took home second, but all four teams had a great time – and some exciting plays – at the slow pitch tournament in Valemount, part of the cheekily termed “Non-Valemountain Days” weekend. Valemoutain Days was officially canceled this year, but the ball tourney went on with the Lions Club hosting the concession, Three Ranges Brewing Company providing the “beer tent” under new event rules, and the Valemount Curling Club hosting the traditional dance on the concrete on Saturday night. Above left, Jamie Black, who organized the tournament, also hit some good balls.
