The Village of McBride has hired Cheryl A. Martens as its new Chief Administrative Officer.

Martens comes from Saskatchewan, according to Village staff. She’s a graduate of the University of Regina, according to her LinkedIn profile.

“I’m a team player but also work well on my own. I take my position as Administrator very seriously and conduct myself in a professional manner at all times. I go by ‘the book,’” she says via her LinkedIn profile.

“However, I will do anything within my authority to help others,” she says.

Most recently Martens worked as an Administrator with the Town of Biggar, SK, for three years, according to LinkedIn.

She has previously worked in administrative roles with the municipality of Glenside, Baildon and Moose Jaw, all in SK.

Martens fills the CAO role vacated by Kelley Williams. The position has been open since May. 30.
