Valemount’s Winter Festival’s snowmobile races saw 51 racers (6 local), 84 heats, $7,000 of prize money and 65 spectators over the weekend. The event was sanctioned by the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Racing Association and sponsored by Tourism Valemount and the Valemount Area Recreation Development Association (VARDA). 48 people turned out for the Awards Ceremony at the Valemount Lions Club.
Sunday’s 7th Annual Poker Run had 29 Riders and raised $1,205 for the BC Lions Society for children with disabilities.
A Go-Pro helicopter camera floated above the races. Once uploaded by VARDA, the Goat will share the video online.
