Beautiful weather and the lure of fish, prizes and trophies drew a crowd to the Valemount Marina Associations 32nd Annual Fishing Derby over the long weekend. Travis Weid took the big trophy for largest rainbow trout, at 2.7 lbs. Kids lined up to draw names for the many prizes donated by businesses and local residents. Madison Smith and Sapphire Pelletier share the top award for their age group, presented by David Blanchette.
