The Robson Valley Region Industrial Land Profile is now available on the web at www.rdffg.bc.ca and investnorthcentralbc.ca.

The investor-friendly document focuses on crown and private land with potential for development in McBride, Tete Jaune and Valemount. The profile, completed by Regional District Development Services, is based on an industrial land study that evaluated existing industrial land operations, possible expansion and potential new areas. Public input was gathered through open houses, mail-in comments and surveys. To date, comments have been supportive of the initiative.

The land profile describes the physical characteristics of the land, proximity to transportation links, services available (electricity, gas, water, sewer, fire protection, etc.) zoning, environmental considerations and pertinent regulations and policies. Also included are photographs and detailed maps showing the topography, official community plans and zoning.

This work is a follow up to the Robson- Canoe Valleys Economic Opportunities Plan of 2010, along with the new Robson Valley Region: Live Large brand, the McBride to Barrier Economic Corridor Initiative, and the development of marketing plans for various economic sectors.
